چکیده

Abstract Introduction Idiopathic Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder is a condition that can be an early sign of alpha-synuclein-mediated neurodegenerative diseases, and the course disease vary greatly from patient to patient. It important identify patients who are at risk developing diseases in future for purpose clinical trials plan their lives accordingly. Previous research has identified various factors phenoconversion RBD patients, but these studies not practical use settings due resource availability or rarity certain features. Additionally, most have been conducted on non-Asian populations, which may different genetic backgrounds than Asian populations. This study aimed develop machine learning model predict survival using features commonly available routine settings. Methods recruited diagnosed with based polysomnography results collected 34 each Missing data were imputed models applied improve performance. The model's predictive performance was evaluated integrated Brier score concordance index. Mean indicators calculated 5-fold cross-validation results. A web application hosting final prediction developed deployed server by physicians patients. Results 173 included study. We used likelihood ratio test calculate p-values all variables selected following 8 less 0.1: UPDRS part III, age, history antidepressant use, alcohol MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment), PSQI-TST (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index - total time), AHI-REM (apnea-hypopnea index REM sleep), education level. random forest had best mean IBS 0.07 C-index 0.93 Conclusion showed it possible Support (if any)

Screening tools for clinical characteristics of probable REM sleep behavior disorder in patients with Parkinson's disease

Introduction The REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) screening questionnaire (RBDSQ) has been used as a screening tool for RBD. We investigated the clinical characteristics of probable RBD (pRBD) using the RBDSQ in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods Seventy patients with PD (age: 69.2 ± 8.9 years old, 31 males and 49 females, length of PD morbidity: 7.4 ± 6.4 years, Hoehn and Yahr:...

REM sleep behavior disorder and REM sleep without atonia in patients with progressive supranuclear palsy.

STUDY OBJECTIVE To compare sleep characteristics, rapid eye movement (REM) sleep without atonia, and REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) in patients with progressive supranuclear palsy (tauopathy), patients with Parkinson's disease (a synucleinopathy), and control subjects. DESIGN Sleep interview, overnight polysomnography, and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests. PATIENTS Forty-five age- and sex-ma...

MAPT association with REM sleep behavior disorder

Idiopathic REM sleep behavior disorder (IRBD) is a REM sleep parasomnia comprising unpleasant dreams, dream-enacting behaviors, and loss of muscle atonia during REM sleep. Longitudinal studies have demonstrated that because most patients with IRBD develop with time Parkinson disease (PD) and other synucleinopathies including dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) or multiple system atrophy (MSA), IRBD...

Combinations of Markers Provide Clues to the Underlying Neurodegenerative Disorder in REM Sleep Behavior Disorder

REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) is characterized by dream-enacting behaviors and unpleasant dreams, and presents a risk for self-injury and harm to others due to abnormal REM sleep during which control of muscle tonus is lacking (REM sleep without atonia) (Schenck et al., 1986; Schenck et al., 2002; American Academy of Sleep Medicine 2005). RBD is a heterogeneous disease entity consisting of ...
